More colour mixing!

We did a couple experiments today.
In the first one, we started out with 3 empty jars, and the 3 primary colors in 3 other jars. Then we put a strip of paper towel in each to join the 6 jars together!!  And almost like magic, the red and blue and yellow water climbed up the paper towel and walked down into the empty jars!! Now we had the secondary colours, too!
We read the story Brown Bear, Brown Bear (by Bill Martin Jr. and Eric Carle) today. Then we mixed the 3 primary colours togethers and ta da!.... we made a shade a brown!

.....More colour mixing during Discovery Time this morning....

...noticing different shades and tints as we sort various colour paint chips..
..using our lego to create the rainbow...
....learning how to spell and print the colour words...
... and in gym, we did some curling!
Sharing time... L is for...
.. and that's the kind of day it has been !!
We were busy as usual!!

  1. The walking colour experiment is so cool! Looks like you are learning lots about colours, and I see some great printing too!

    1. Hi. It was cool doing that experiment. We started out with 3 jars of coloured water, and then we ended up with 6 jars of coloured water.
