Water Day

We had a fun and busy afternoon!!  So busy that I didn't get any photos taken except for this one!  These kids were sitting down playing with the little ball. (And then, I told them all to please put their hats back on for this hot and sunny day!)

We went across the street and played at the Discovery Daycare.

Goldilocks and the Three Bears

Another fairy tale with the number "3"!!  Do you know the story of "Goldilocks and the 3 bears"?  Everyone enjoyed this story today, and some kids acted it out for the rest of the class. 
     
Goldilocks was fast asleep in baby bear's bed!
    
And baby bear found someone sleeping in his bed!
 
These 2 narrators did an excellent job of helping retell the story!

They got themselves organized to take a bow!

Please make sure your child brings a hat to school and a refillable water bottle. You can also put sunscreen in your child's backpack, and he/she can put it on for outdoor play and learning. We will be spending time outdoors over the last few weeks of school!

Keep secrets vs. Speak Secrets

Ask your child to explain the difference between a "Keep secret" and a "Speak Secret". Ms. Amaral taught this lesson this morning.

Visitor

The class had fun acting out the story of the Three Little Pigs again today. We had some great performances, and they even acted it out for Ms. Janz when she stopped by to visit our class.

    
Everyone was so excited to see Ms. Janz today. We predicted how many blocks long that baby Cooper would be, and how many cm long he might be. Our predictions turned out to be pretty close!

Three Little Pigs

We have read different versions of  the fairytale "The Three Little Pigs". Today we used our imagination and acted out the story!
       

We found a spider in our classroom today. So we put it in a container for safe keeping, then Mrs. Johannson and some of the kids took it out at recess time and released it outside!
