When I grow up....

Thank you to all parents of kids from Room 7! Your support this year is much appreciated!
I have appreciated all the comments that some of you have left throughout the year. It helps me know that someone is reading the blog (which is why I make the time to do it!) ... and the kids love knowing they have an audience to share their learning. They have learned how to read/spell several words just from when our class responds to the comments!
I hope everyone has a safe and happy summer!

Signing off for now...
Mrs. Grant

----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Summer holidays are here... don't forget to read to your child at home during the summer -and the rest of the year, too!!

One More Day!

Ms. Janz stopped by for one more visit with her baby, Cooper. We guessed how long he might be, and then we measured him. He had grown in the past month! Not as much as some of the guesses, but we needed an extra block to measure him!

We sorted out some of the puzzles today.

Numbers!!

Today I put out some big pieces of black paper, and told the kids we were going to call it a "black board" -- just like the "White board" we have in the class... but black!  A couple of boys got busy and started writing numbers! They got all the way to 200 !!!

Today all the Kinders got together and headed outside for a yummy cold treat!

All K-4 students went to visit the class that they will be placed in - for Grade 1! Please refer to the newsletter that went home earlier this week for the names of the teacher(s) that will be in your child's room. Report cards will also have the next year's room number on them.

3 more days!

Mrs. Grant brought in a couple balloons filled with helium. The experiment was to test different items to see what the balloon could pull up with it! Light vs. Heavy

Ms. Amaral stopped by to talk once again about personal safety. Parents: Please Ask your child what he/she learned today.

After today.... only 3 more days of school. Please take a moment to empty out your child's backpack. Students are bringing home some of their "Stuff" today. It does not need to be carried back to school tomorrow! We need to make room in backpacks for a few more things!
