Tints

Yesterday we cut out 5 shamrocks of different sizes, and then glued them onto another paper, in sequence of size. Today we painted them. We started out by painting the biggest shamrock green, then tinting the paint with white, to paint each shamrock a lighter shade of green. We learned adding white to a colour makes the colour lighter!

  1. I'm amazed you can count all the way to 31 already. Great Job!
That young lady has BEAUTIFUL hand writing. When I was in Grade 9 I got first prize for my hand writing from the whole school division. (That's a long long time ago). :-) The Texas Leprechaun.

  2. HI. Are you really a leprechaun? Or are you Mrs. Grant's auntie? We want to know! Are there a lot of leprechauns in Texas? We are hoping to see a real leprechaun tomorrow!!

  3. I'm really not a leprechaun. You guessed it. I'm Mrs. Grant's auntie who loves reading and seeing all the wonderful things you are learning. I haven't seen any leprechauns in Texas. Happy St. Patrick's Day. Hope you wore something green.

    1. HI. Some of us DID wear green on St. Patrick's Day. BUT we didn't have school on that day. We didn't think you were a leprechaun!
