Happy New Year! Hard to believe it is 2014 already!!
Today we read the book 50 Below Zero by Robert Munsch. We discovered that our real weather this morning in Winnipeg -- which was -47 with the wind chill-- was almost like the name of the book! We thought the story was funny!
It's the start of a new month and a new year. We have had lots of experience with numbers, the words for the days of the week, and calendar activities over the past few months….. so we tackled the job of putting the numbers 1 - 31 on our own calendar to represent this month -- January! First we had to cut out the numbers, then find Wednesday to put the number 1 under, then continue on, going from left to right.
WELCOME BACK!!!! Missed reading your blog. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas. 47 below???? YIKES!!! that's cold. :-( Stay warm.
ReplyDeleteI know it's "Friendly Manitoba" but we don't want to share that cold weather that you are sending down here.
