Artists at work

This afternoon was a beautiful fall day. When we went outside, the sun was shining and it felt quite warm. We have been learning about fall and learning some vocabulary associated with trees (trunk, bark, roots, leaves, branches, crown). We know that leaves turn colours in fall, and fall off the trees. Today we went outside to sketch a picture of a tree during fall using fall colours for the leaves. After that, we found a few leaves to do some leaf rubbings. That was interesting! And then..... we had a little fun collecting armfuls of leaves and throwing them up in the air!!  Yipppeee!!!

  2. Your leaf rubbings are beautiful! It is awesome that you were learning outside today! I wonder if you could go on a nature walk with your families to find other interesting leaves to make another piece of artwork!
