YEAH!!! We are hoping we have seen the last of indoor recesses this school year! That was a LOT of days without outdoor play! I caught these kids playing outside at recess enjoying the fresh air, on a most enjoyable winter day !!! Smiles all around!
Today we sorted foods according to the Canada Food Guide. We learned about the 4 basic food groups -- which we should choose food from every day…... and the "other" group -- which includes junk food and treats that we shouldn't eat every day, but just "sometimes" for a little treat.
*** Students are invited to bring in clean, empty food containers from home to use in the new centre we are setting up. Boxes and containers can be sent in any time this month. Thank you.
I didn't read your blog for a few days. We had relatives from Winnipeg visiting us. They left Sunday to go home. They were not looking forward to going back to the snow. After seeing all that snow on your play ground I can see why. It looks like you all had fun in the snow. You sure were busy doing a lot of fun things in class. GREAT job! From the Texas auntie.
