Secondary colours

Today we did a little colour magic!  We chose 2 (of the 3 primary) colours to have our hands painted!  Then we rubbed our hands together and..... we got a new colour!!! The new colours we ended up with were either ... green, orange, or purple... depending on which 2 primary colours we had chosen to begin with!    This new colour is called a "secondary colour". Another word to add to our vocabulary!

We are learning to read and print numbers to 100!

                                       Sharing Time....

Today we practiced a lock down. Just like a fire drill, we need to be prepared in case of an emergency. Mrs. Grant locked the classroom door, turned off the light, and we had to stay away from the door and be quiet during the lockdown. We talked about the importance of being quiet, so any intruders would not know that we were in the classroom.  (Today we just hid under our desk, but in a real lockdown situation, we would all move to the far corner away from the door.)

Nice job on the colours room 9! Hmmm was that Curran guy absent today?! It looks like maybe you got a new student named Waldo, I just spotted him practicing writing his numbers to 100!

    1. HI. Curran sent Waldo to school, and Curran stayed home! Waldo was practicing his numbers to 100! He is getting pretty good at writing them! That was Waldo's first time at school... and he liked it!!
