Discovery, Music, Library, Birthday book, and pastels!

It's been a busy day!! 

We really enjoyed reading stories about the Love Monster, by Rachel Bright. We have been learning how to draw the Love Monster. Today we coloured him using pastels.
                                 Birthday time... One of our classmates is celebrating her 6th Birthday today. So that means we had to read our special pop up book called The Birthday Cake, sing Happy Birthday (a couple versions), and we each drew a special picture that we put together into a book for the birthday girl!  The details and printing in the birthday books have really grown from our September birthdays to now! 
Discovery Time...Activities this week include...
Following a guide to make shapes out of the blocks (this is a ring)........ and using a hole punch to find the lowercase letters that match the letter in the heart....
....Rolling a die and counting the correct number of blocks onto the hearts..... touching the teeth in the alligator to match the number.....
 
Did you hear we have a new dramatic play centre?  It is called The Post Office!  Lots of Valentines have been made and mailed the past few school days!
 
Fun time in music class today! (as usual)

Library Day today. Please return all library books by  next Day 6.

Tomorrow is .. WEAR A WORD DAY!   Do you have clothing with a word or words on them?

    Happy Birthday from Texas to the birthday girl. Did you enjoy the birthday book? I would be afraid to grab a tooth out of the alligator's mouth. Did he snap at your finger when you took his tooth?

      Hi! Thank you!! YES! He does snap at our fingers when we touch a certain number. But we never know which number will make him snap!
