Close your eyes, and put the magnet on the clown's nose! (our birthday party game!)
These 2 were busy creating different sets... sorting by colour.... then putting one of each colour in each ice cream bowl....putting the number tiles in numerical order - and when they were counting the numbers I noticed that they had made a mistake and put two fours after the 7's.... but NO! that was not the case at all. They told me that they didn't have a number "8"- so they figured out that since 4 and 4 makes 8, they would substitute two #4's to replace the 8! I thought that was quite smart of them!!
You never know what discoveries might be made at "Discovery time".

I'm so proud of the student who did a fabulous job with the Happy Birthday candles. That's incredible the two girls made 4 plus 4 equals 8. WAY TO GO!! Congratulations coming from Texas.
