Our newest dramatic play centre was officially opened today! We were:
- using our imagination (not easy for everyone!)
- using our communication skills (talking AND listening),
- sharing and taking turns,
- using our manners,
- being respectful to others
- looking at books about birthday parties
We:
- made cupcakes/cakes out of playdough and put in some candles
- used the phone to invite our friends over to a party
- got dressed up for the party
- used our writing skills to make invitations and birthday cards
- practiced serving "cake" to the guest!
- and so much more!!!
...and these girls built a castle, too!
REMINDER: OPEN HOUSE on Thursday 4:30-7:00. Your child will have the opportunity to show you around our room and show you some things that he/she has been learning about at school. I will also be available to chat and discuss your child's progress, and answer any questions you may have.
If you prefer to come without your child to discuss a concern, please book an appointment for Friday.
Otherwise, I hope to see everyone on Thursday!
Looks like I missed a fabulous birthday party. WAY TO GO!! everyone in preparing for the party. The girls did a FANTASTIC job building the castle. Enjoying your blog in Texas.
