Outdoor math!

We went outside to do a little math today.  Some of our activities included..... counting how many dandelions/clover/grass were inside the hula hoop and printing the number on the whiteboard....

....using sidewalk chalk for Printing number stories on the sidewalk and different ways to identify numbers (i.e.. on dice, ten frame, tally marks, etc.)

... counting the number of times we could skip!

We are learning about paper!!  Today we sorted through and identified different types of paper products! We were surprised to learn about some things that are made out of paper!

SHARING TIME

I came across this article that I just had to share. It stresses the importance of limiting screen time and WHY it is important to your child's development. A must read for parents! (click on the link below)

What screen time does to your child's brain and sensory processing ability

And don't forget to check in with the Stevenson School blog, too! You can find it at....
