Word Detectives & Pirate hats

We have been learning all about Paper (part of our Science curriculum). Today we checked out some newspapers. The boys and girls were so engaged in being word detectives and looking for words that they could read!!  They were SO excited every time they found a word they new and could circle!  After that, we did some folding, and discovered we could make a pirate hat out of the newspaper!
