Compliment Circle

For the past couple weeks, we have been ending our day with a compliment circle. It is so heartwarming to hear the nice compliments that the kids are coming up with. We start the conversation by everyone sitting in a circle with our legs stretched out. Then each day we have a different type of "starter" for how the compliment should start. Today we started by someone saying "I like the way you....". The recipient of the compliment says "thank you" and then tucks his/her legs in, and then it is that person's turn to give a compliment to someone who still has his/her legs stretched out. Everyone gets a compliment, and everyone gives a compliment! A great way to end our day!

This morning, Ms. Amaral stopped by our room to talk to us about Safe Adults... (as part of the "Kids In The Know" program.)

Library Day

Centre Time   (this young lady is making a book with "lift the flap" pages)

These 3 kids arrived at school and immediately asked if they could clean the floor. (I told them I needed helpers like that at my house!!)

  • News about another Field Trip coming home today. Permission forms and money due by May 10th. You are able to pay with Cash Online. If you need more info as to how to access the Cash Online, please contact the school office.
  • Starting next Monday, all Kindergarten kids will be entering the school at the back door by the playground. Please bring your child to the back of the school by 8:40am. We will be starting our day with a little outdoor school-wide yoga before entering the school.
  • Students will continue to be dismissed out the same front door (as they do so now)-- at the end of the day
