Sound Buster

Sound Buster came today and taught us about the /P/ sound.

 

Sharing some things that we brought from home that start with the /p/ sound
 
Learning to correctly print a letter /p/ and find pictures that start with a /p/ sound
 
Playing a game on the Smart Board where we had to find things that start with a /p/ sound, and also find things that end with a /p/ sound.

Painting in the magic box to find what letter will appear -- to create a word that rhymes with the "-in" word family

At the end of our Sound Buster activities today, we had a little treat. Sound Buster brought us some POPCORN.  /p/ is for Popcorn!!  YUMMY!

This fellow was interested in writing out colour words today at centre time. He even used the correct corresponding colour to print each word.
  

We did a subtilizing activity today -- where we each had to roll a die, then count the number of dots on the die, then find the corresponding number or number word on the birthday present picture.
