Here's the pics of the boys heading to space!  We practiced our counting backwards to get us to space. (using our imaginations, of course!) ...........We counted 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 then blast off!!

Spaceship!

Ms. Janz, (our EA), worked her magic to create a space ship for us. We are wondering if it is similar to SoundBuster's space ship. Hmmmm...
     
We practiced for the winter concert -- with the Grades 1-2's
 
We did a cut and paste today - matching numerals to the number of candles on the cupcakes!

He was SO proud of  the little person he made of himself!
 
No one (from our Tuesday group)  remembered to bring in something for sharing today. :(

Sound Buster

Sound Buster came today and taught us about the /P/ sound.

 

Sharing some things that we brought from home that start with the /p/ sound
 
Learning to correctly print a letter /p/ and find pictures that start with a /p/ sound
 
Playing a game on the Smart Board where we had to find things that start with a /p/ sound, and also find things that end with a /p/ sound.

Painting in the magic box to find what letter will appear -- to create a word that rhymes with the "-in" word family

At the end of our Sound Buster activities today, we had a little treat. Sound Buster brought us some POPCORN.  /p/ is for Popcorn!!  YUMMY!

This fellow was interested in writing out colour words today at centre time. He even used the correct corresponding colour to print each word.
  

We did a subtilizing activity today -- where we each had to roll a die, then count the number of dots on the die, then find the corresponding number or number word on the birthday present picture.

Open House Tomorrow!

REMINDER:  OPEN HOUSE Tomorrow from 4:30 - 7:00. Please stop by the school, anytime between 4:30 -7:00, to have your child show you what he/she has been learning since the start of Kindergarten. No appointment necessary. Just come when it is convenient for you. You will also have the opportunity to stop by the Book Fair in the library, if you are interested in that!
