I Love to Read

Today we had an assembly to kick off I Love To Read month. We had a visit from our friends from Boston Pizza. They presented our school library with a cheque for $500 to congratulate Stevenson school for reading so many books last year. Way to go, Stevenson!
Our Kindergrten class performed at the assembly. We did a sound story for "Pete the Cat". The class has been practicing very hard with Ms. Rempel, our music teacher.

Here's the video from our morning assembly to kick off I LOVE TO READ month

We like to share our weekend news. This is what one of our students independently wrote about today to tell us about something that happened this weekend.
Check out.... how the picture matches the story, people pictures with bodies and clothes, the capital at the beginning, punctuation (!) at the end, finger spaces between words, matching letters to sounds, letters sitting on the lines, /g/ hanging down, and the sight words.

    1. Hi. We had fun performing Pete the Cat. We were a little shy so we were quieter than when we practiced.
