Readers

We continue to build our confidence in seeing ourselves as readers!  We have been learning about the "Concepts of Print". This includes...
  • read from left to right
  • read starting at the top of the page and go down
  • match print with 1 to 1 correspondence.... usually by using our finger to point to one word as we read it
  • look at the pictures to help tell the story
  • look for the sight words that we have already learned
  • look at the letters/pictures to help identify unfamiliar words
  • notice the punctuation at the end of the sentence
  • read with expression
  • at the end of the story, be able to answer some questions about the story, and briefly retell what the story was about
  • enjoy reading!
Sequencing....

                                                  Rhyming
                                                    Creativity in building patterns!
Have a great weekend!

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mothers!

(and for those kids who wear cloth masks, just a reminder to wash your child's masks!)
