In Kindergarten, while we work and play, we are also developing our social skills. Social skills are something that everyone - even adults- need to learn in order to be successful in life. These skills include...
- getting along with others,
- sharing,
- taking turns,
- using kind words,
- showing respect to others,
- developing strategies for dealing with conflict,
- understanding body language and facial expressions,
- negotiating,
- etc. The list goes on!!!
Today 3 kids were playing Snakes and Ladders. One child said to the others..."It doesn't matter who goes first, it just matters that we have fun!" Hmmm... What a great idea!
We are learning about Tally Marks. Another way to represent numbers!
Today we had our second classmate celebrating her 6th Birthday. So we all made a special picture to put in a Birthday Book for her!
