What do you wear in the winter?

Today we read the story "The Jacket I Wear in the Snow". Then we had fun making a tally  chart of the winter clothing that we wear. Some things were the same as in the story, and some things were different! We had fun sorting ourselves in the various groups of things we had to wear outside!

The "balaclava" group!

These kids had gloves!

These kids wear mittens!

The neck warmer group!

The scarf group.

We have been busy making a white paper chain. We are going to change this into... a surprise!

We have also been busy cutting out snowball shapes - 1 for each letter in our name- to make snowmen!

Sharing Time.... --- J is for jello and jacket!

Calling all water bottles!!  Does your child have a reusable water bottle (with a secure lid to avoid spills?) If so, please make sure your child is bringing it to school every day. Water is the best thirst quencher and our bodies need water every day!

This month, our school will be focusing on some wellness activities, one of which includes drinking water!  Kids who drink water every day, will get a ticket for a draw (to be made later in the month). IF your child has his/her own reusable water bottle, he/she will get 2 tickets every day!
