We had a guest "storyteller" today (Jamie O.) as part of "The Integrated Arts" program.

Fairy Tales and Nursery Rhymes
Sailing away into Fairy Tale Land. This week we brainstormed different fairy tales that we were familiar with. We also brainstormed Nursery Rhymes that we could think of. (Unfortunately our lists were not very long!) Our castle is complete with a drawbridge!
After reading the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears today, we acted it out. Goldilocks was sound asleep when the 3 bears came home!!

Sharing time....
Do you know the song "DOWN BY THE BAY"? We ended our day singing this song, as we read along to a storybook version of it.

Earth Day activities
We spent a lot of time outside today.....as we think about Earth Day on Sunday!
** We had gym class outside today.
** We had morning story time outside by the Inukshuk.
** We had library class this afternoon, so we arranged with Mrs. Wood to read us a story outside.
**We went for a walk to play outside at a nearby park. As we walked, we reviewed how to cross the street quickly and safely at the corner (no dilly-dallying), make sure the vehicles have stopped before walking, and checking back lanes for traffic before walking past.
**We also picked up 3 bags of litter around the school ground. We were so busy picking up the garbage, that we didn't get any photos!!
