Everyone met in the gym for an assembly this morning. Awards were handed out, and we said good-bye to the Grade 5's who will be moving on to middle school in the fall.
Each classroom also handed out a volunteer award, and the student received a gift card.
Having a treat after the assembly.
Have a great summer everyone!
Thank you to everyone who read our blog, and took the time to post a comment(s).

Jellybeans and freezies!!!
Today was our tabloid day... which the kids like to call Jelly Bean day. For an hour and a half this morning, all students were able to wander to a variety of 22 different stations (inside the gym and to a few other rooms, as well as outside on the playground). Students were encouraged to visit as many - or all - of the stations they could in the given time. Later in the day, everyone received a bag with 22 jelly beans!
After lunch, all students went to the gym to watch a ball hockey game between some of the older students and some staff.
After the game, we all went outside and everyone was treated to a big freezie... followed by recess!

DCC
We walked across the street to play at the playground at the Discovery Children's Centre. It was so much fun! We are so glad and grateful that they allowed us to use their space this afternoon. Almost half of the students in our class go to this Daycare before and after school, and it was fun for the rest of the class to have a chance to explore the playground, too. There was lots to explore!
This photo (above) is of the kids using their imagination to role play the story of the "Three Billy Goats Gruff".
