We read this book today. We noticed the 3 primary colours on the front. We also learned that when you mix 2 primary colours together, you get a new colour, and these new colours are called "secondary colours"
We finished the white spaces on our colour wheel, by finding the secondary colours in magazines and catalogues, and cutting and gluing them onto the colour wheel.
We worked together to paint 6 papers... 3 with the primary colours, and then we mixed the primary colours to paint the other 3 papers with secondary colours! We are going to use these papers for an activity tomorrow .
Steve Locke, the visiting artist, had us come up with some rhyming words, and we wrote a short poem about school, using those rhyming words!

Great job on the colour wheel!
ReplyDeleteI also love mixing paint. It is so much fun to create other colours!

Hi! We had fun mixing paint. We know that....red plus yellow makes orange.... and red plus blue makes purple... and blue and yellow make green! We are making mice today. They are made out of primary and secondary colours!
