Every week that we have done "Star of the Week", we also do a shared writing activity about the star. This is a sample of the writing we do about our Star Student. Today the kids helped write this story (they are able to spell many of these words, and recognize many sounds connected to letters in other words), then we were "word detectives" and each person had to find a word within the story, then the whole class read the story-- all by themselves!!!
Today Richelle talked to us about HUMILITY , represented by the wolf. The class had a good discussion about what humility looks like.
A big welcome to the new helper in our classroom. Mrs. Sarkaria had been working as an Educational Assistant in a different classroom at our school earlier this year, and has now joined our Kindergarten class as of this week!

WHO DOES THIS BELONG TO?? These black splash pants -size 6x-have been in our class for a while. They were here before spring break ... and they may have even been stuffed in someone's locker from last fall. NO NAME to help identify the owner. If they belong to your child, please let me know.
ALSO.... on that note....please print your child's name or initials on the tag of their splash pants and in their rubber boots. Many of these items look the same as their friends, and we have already had some mix ups! Thanks!
