Our Earth artwork!
We looked at a picture of how earth looks from space. We noticed a lot of blue and green. We did some artwork and used tissue paper to represent the land and water on our picture of the earth. Some of our artwork is already hanging up in our window.
We spent some extra time playing outside today. It is earth day, after all! We took the bubbles outside and some kids had fun chasing them. We even took the hand sanitizer outside and ate our snack outside, too!
We did an activity on the Smart Board, where we had to collect the garbage and sort it into the appropriate can (recycle, garbage, compost). We noticed that the cleaner the area got, the more animals came out! We need to help keep their homes clean!
We did an "Earth Day Around the Room" activity. Everyone had to search for the little earth pictures posted around the room (and they each had a number and a sight word on them), and then copy that sight word beside the corresponding number on their paper!
