Writing and dots

"Write Around the Room" time..... encourage your child to try this at home, too!!  (grab a paper and something to write with, and just walk around the room copying any print that you see!!  Great if you can read the words, but it doesn't matter if you can't. We want to practice printing letters by finding words in our environment.)

            
Today we played a game where we had to roll a die, and count how many dots were on the die....then match it to the same picture on our paper. Some of us knew how many dots there were without even counting!!  (and that is a Kindergarten goal!) -- lots of board games help teach this skill, too!
