Sequencing
The kids have been having fun making signs... to tell you which direction you might want to go!
More patterns! I asked these kids to make a pattern using the little presents, and here is what they made....
....AB pattern....
....AABB pattern
....AB pattern
Today the kids did a little problem solving with some paper trees. I gave them a group of 10 trees. They quickly realized the trees were different sizes, and also had the numbers 1 -10 printed on them. They were able to arrange themselves and the trees in order of size, and by sequencing the numbers!
We had some paper presents, too! First we talked about what was the same about them. They we talked about what was different about them. They I asked the kids if they could put themselves in some kind of order. They all worked cooperatively together to arrange themselves in order of the smallest present to the largest present.
We cut out some green papers of varying lengths, to make a tree!
Sharing Time... /c/ is for coin and cat!
