We have a Gingerbread House........ The address is..... 7 Gingerbread Way, Room 7! Does your child know his/her own address? If yes, great!!! If not, time to teach your child your own address!
The kids have been busy creating (paper) candy decorations to hang on the house. We have put some Christmas books inside the house, as well as a "TV" with the fire log channel on it. And of course, you have to read the numbers on the remote, and the other words on the TV/remote, too! We have been reading different versions of the Gingerbread Boy books. Ask your child to tell you about them!
We did a fine-motor activity today... to help strengthen those little finger muscles. Everyone had a thumb tack, and punched little holes into the outline of a Christmas tree. When they held the tree up to the light, it looked like the tree had a lot of little mini-lights on it!! Everyone thought that was pretty cool! Tape the tree to a window at home, to get the full effect!
Here's how one tree looked when held up to the window. The light shines through making a wonderful design on the tree.
Sharing Time...
What a great idea how to put lights and decorations on the Christmas tree!!!

Hi. Thank you for the nice compliments. We had fun poking little holes in the paper to make mini lights on the tree! We really like the gingerbread house that Ms. Janz made for us!
