Talking Sticks

Richelle Scott, Indigenous Educator for the school division, came to our class today to instruct us on how to finish the "talking sticks" that we had started making before spring break. We decorated them (with beads, string, and feathers) and practiced using them in class..... so we will be ready to use them with our families when we take them home in the next day or two.  
Room 7 already had a good idea of how to use the talking sticks, as we use and pass around a special "talking ball" when we want to share news with each other.







These kids wanted to have their photo taken holding their completed "talking sticks".
