Mrs. Macdonell (Resource Teacher) visited our room today. We looked at the photos taken the last time that baby Elias came to visit us. Even though he didn't cry when he came to visit us, we all know that babies cry sometimes.
As part of this theme, Mrs. Macdonell read us the story called Oonga Boonga by Frieda Wishinsky and Michael Martchenko. (ask your child to tell you about this story). We learned that everyone cries at some point for different reasons. A baby cries to communicate.
We also learned some strategies to help US calm down when we are upset. (ie. breathing deeply; counting to 10)
This is what one student wrote in the T.W.A.S. book today. (This Week At School)
