We have read the story and learned the song "The 12 Days of Christmas". Today we read a story called "A Porcupine in a Pine Tree- A Canadian 12 Days of Christmas" by H. Becker and W. Zimmermann. Then we made up our own version of the 12 days of Christmas, which included.... lego, barbies, tonka toys, dolls, and more!! We had to count the number of pictures in each group, and match it to the corresponding number. We agreed that this version would be much more exciting than the gifts received in the original song!
Our next activity was to stamp out the corresponding number of stamps for each numeral from 1 - 12.
